Lets face it, sometimes when working with a real estate agent not all real estate agents are the same caliber of agent.  Some agents are rock stars and like rock stars it is hard to get around one.  Sad reality is most real estate agents are not rock stars.  I have unfortunately; worked with a couple real estate agents who were the later.   They did not tell me what was going on, they didn't provide me with the information to make the right decision for me nor my family.  My agents would tell me that I would need to sell my house quickly or my house would loose its value.    To me that didn't make much sense.  How does a home loose value because it didn't sell quickly.  On top of the mass confusion with the real estate agents I used, we had to worry about showing our home.  We would have strangers walking though our house left and right.  I would have to get the kids together and dressed take our dog with us.  We couldn't make dinner at our home because the agent would say the smell would turn off buyers.   Selling our home with a less than rock star real estate agent was very difficult and really unpleasant.  That part was not even the worst part of selling our home with a realtor, it was the fees plural as in more than one that we would have to pay.  It was brutal because the agent would tell us every little thing that was wrong with our home.  We had to get a contractor to fix things we didn't even notice.  That was another bill we had to sell our home.
